The early Talmidim (Disciples) therefore, after receiving the Commissioning Anointing for Service at the Feast of Shavuot, whilst they all were gathered together at the Har Ha Beit (Temple-Mount House) on Mt. Moriah at Yahrushalayim, were sent forth by the Ruach HaKodesh to fulfil that which they were commanded to do by Yahushua, immediately prior to His ascension, and so, amazingly, before even 5 years had passed since those momentous days at Yarushalayim of 33AD, the Good News had found it`s way throughout all Europe and on into our Island Home here in `Ultima Thule`, the `Brittanic Isles`. Ancient British records joyously tell us that even before 37AD had been reached, the Besorah (Gospel) of Yahushua HaMoshiach with it`s supernatural signs, wonders and miracles had been preached throughout the Ancient Island of Britain and that those early Britons and especially Celtic Druidary had astonishingly fully embraced the Message of Salvation through the Blood of the Lamb in a very few short years....... Thus dispelling the Theory that the Gospel News was first brought to Britain in 596 AD when Pope Gregory the Great (590-604) sent the Romish Archbishop `St.` Augustine to England to `convert` the so-called `pagan` Britons to the Christian Faith. And the truth is that the so called `paganism` Rome was trying to destroy was not a Celtic-Druid blood-thirsty religion but the True, Pure, Christian Faith with it`s abundance of miracles and healings which was received first-hand from the Apostles of our Mar Yah, Yahushua HaMoshiach, and which was deeply, deeply, `jewish` in it`s entire content, for it came from the very Torah-Observant Rabbi Paul who was the grandson of the most-revered Rabbi Hillel of Jewish history and this same Rabbi Paul (who sat under the ministry of Rabbi Gamaliel), whom we read of in Holy Writ and who as we shall see travelled westwards with The Message received it first-hand from the even-more Torah-Observant Moshiach of the Jews, on the Damascus Road, for He, Yahushua, of course was the Living Torah sent down from Heaven, (St John 1 vs 1); And it is an undisputed fact of History both secular and Romish that this Romish religion hated the Jewish Faith and all things jewish so vehemently that as she marched in her ventures of conquest across the nations she would utterly and ruthlessly crush any true `Torah-Christians` who followed jewish customs, passovers and sabbaths, in every century, during her first 1500 years. Her own written Historic Oracles at Rome declares it so. I SAY THAT THAT IS AN UNDENIABLE FACT OF HISTORY!! It is also an undeniable fact of our ancient British historical records, both secular and religious, that the True Christian Gospel of Salvation through Faith Alone, and trust in `Sola Scripture` and of a Gospel bringing Miracles, Healings, Supernatural Signs and Charismatic Gifts of Tongues and Prophecies was well-embedded in the Whole of these British Isles more than 5 Centuries before the Advent of the Romish religion in 596AD, and it is also a historical fact that the True Christian Gospel superseded the Old Celtic-Druid Faith between 37AD-190 AD., many long centuries before the Romish religion ever set foot on our blessed and ancient Island, and this `superseding` was not to replace, set aside or disregard something inferior but rather to build upon and amplify the previously Celtic/Druidic Faith.. Tertullian, a Law Advocate, writing in 190 AD said that the areas of Britain which had not been conquered by the Roman Empire (Northern Scotland) had embraced the `religion of Jesus of Nazareth.` The ancient English historian Bede wrote 1400 years ago that the `Christian Celts` of Northern Britain, ie, Scotland, "have been celebrating the Jewish Passover on the 14th. Day of Nisan for 600 years," ie, since 42 AD. Every area and corner of Scotland has it`s historic tales of Heaven-Sent Revivals and Aberdeenshire in the North-East corner has it`s multitudious records. This area of Aberdeenshire, known locally as `Buchan` seems certainly to have been blessed above measure with men and women who have either come here to preach the Grace of Yahweh or sent it`s own sons and daughters to near and far-flung corners of the globe with Love`s Redeeming Message. From the records of early British historians we are told of the coming of 1st. Century evangelists from Ancient Yisrael, then records of our own `home-grown` sons in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Centuries adorn our history. Preachers ablaze with that Message burning in their souls traversing the hills and glens of ancient Scotia and even crossing the wild North Sea (once known as the Germanic Sea) into Europe in centuries now long gone. As already mentioned, St Patrick, that world-known evangelist, who was born in the west of Scotland, carried captive to Ireland as a youth and returned to Scotland as a fervent, pentecostal preacher in the 5th Century, inspired others such as Columba and Drostan to carry his evangelistic Torch throughout the Land. How blessed have we been to have such dedictated saints of Elohim. St. Columba who founded a teaching-monastery (Yeshiva) on the Island of Iona (Hebrew for `dove`) on the west-coast of Scotland had given up his right to the Throne of Ireland to be an Evangelist to Scotland. He and his companion preacher, St Drostan inspired by St. Patrick, landed at New Aberdour shores and went through-out the whole of the east-coast of Scotland founding bible-believing assemblies. St. Drostan himself, that great saint laboured many long years in Buchan and was laid to rest in the old grave-yard of New Aberdour, down near to the shoreline where he first landed on his mission, but there has, astonishingly, been a true Gospel-Faith burning in this north-east corner for far above 1600 years and the present day Church of Scotland in the locality is named `St. Drostan`s.` St. Drostan`s `Church of Scotland In The Ancient Village Of New Aberdour, Aberdeenshire, Where St. Drostan The Disciple of St Columba, First Brought The Message of Salvation To North-East Scotland During His Mission Work In The 6th Century Nevertheless, Satan has not been idle in trying to hinder and stop this Divine Work of Grace, for our ancient records declare that from the time of St Columba in the late 6th century, those disciples of his, in every following generation until the 12th. century, were under relentless pressure from the Romish religion to reject their First Love in favour of a hybrid Romish cult. Their refusal to submit is writ large in the annals of history, yet nevertheless the Romish Cult held power over most of Europe and parts of Scot-land for 1.000 years. Four hundred years ago, Satan again tried to extinguish the holy Fire that burned in the hearts of Scottish saints, but godly men and women covenanted with Yahweh and with one another to live and die for the Truth once delivered to the Saints. Great persecutions arose and the hills and glens of Scotland ran deep and red with the blood of the martyred sons of Scotland. Who has not heard of those Covenanters of Scotland, Peden, Guthrie, MacKail, Cameron, the 2 Margarets, Renwick, Gordon, Cargill and Hill to name but a very few? ALEXANDER (SANDY) PEDEN, SCOTTISH COVENANTER AND MARTYR (1626-1686) Multitudes of Yahweh`s dearest and choicest saints, old and young, male and female, suffering tortures of burnings, hands chopped off, tongues ripped out, babies cut out of the womb, unimaginable wickedness perpetrated against their persons, drownings and beheadings for simply loving and adoring Yahushua rather than serving and bowing to a Pope. But Yah`weh be praised, .....The Fire could not be extinguished...The Faith Prevailed and yet does. The Faith of Yah`shua has long been established in Buchan and as mentioned, every village and town has it`s wondrous tales of Revival. Fraserburgh`s oldest parish church in the town centre and known fondly, as `Old Zion` has been established on her present site since 1571, and has seen much of the blessings of Elohim down through the centuries, and, before being built, there had been a company of the Faithful from time immemorial in that community; Indeed, the town itself was formerly called `Faithlie`. Mary M Slessor, that well-known Scot`s missionary to the former Nigerian Capital of Old Calabar, was born in Aberdeenshire, and inspired by Missionaries before her, undertook training at Edinburgh with the former United Presbyterian Church of Scotland, and on the 5th. of August 1876 after completing training, sailed forth from Liverpool with a message of love burning in her bosom that changed the lives of tens of thousands of Africa`s beloved children by the time she was called Home to Glory in 1915.Photo Below : Mary Slessor, Missionary To Old Calabar Nigeria(1848-1915) The great American evangelist, Dr. D.L. Moody came to Aberdeenshire in the last half of the 19th. Century, during his wide-spread preaching tours of the United Kingdom and it is recorded that a great spiritual revival and awakening took place with untold hundreds of precious souls being won for the Kingdom of God. Farming communities as well as the fisher-folk were touched and inspired by his fervour and zeal as he carried the Message of Redemption to all he met. The Torch he carried lit the torches of many Buchan`s sons to go forth themselves with Salvation`s Message. Dwight Lyman Moody, Evangelist(1837-1899) Hardly 30 years after Dr. D.L. Moody`s visit to Aberdeenshire, God spoke to another of his choice servants to come to Fraserburgh and do a work for him among the fisher-folk and in the surrounding districts. And so it was that Miss Gladwell of Guildford in Surrey, South-East England was `moved` to come to Fraserburgh. Born in 1862, and baptised by that great Prince of Preachers, the Baptist minister of London, Rev. Charles Haddon Spurgeon, she began a work that continued until her death in 1937. For almost 50 years, since she was around 25 years of age, Miss Gladwell ministered the Words of Life and Grace in Fraserburgh, throughout Aberdeenshire and in the counties beyond. Fisher-folk, the farming communities, the well-off and the poor, Miss Gladwell was known and loved by them all. She was joined in her Godly Labours by a companion in the Gospel, Miss Leech and together with a band of other faithful men and women, they ministered the Grace of God right up to just before the outbreak of the 2nd. World War. There are many in the community, yet alive, who knew and sat under her ministry, and still fondly speak of her today, over 70 years after her Home-Call. Miss Gladwell now lies at rest in Fraserburgh`s Kirkton Cemetery, awaiting the Great Resurrection Morning that is soon to dawn. On Sunday, March 23rd. 1879, General William Booth of the Salvation Army, declared...."The Salvation Army has crossed the border from England into Scotland" and with the great cry, "God Save Scotland" ....their began a tremendous Work of God in this Nation which has never yet been extinguished. A few years later the `Army` marched into Fraserburgh and fired their first Volley upon the Kingdom of Darkness in that Community, snatching multitudes from Satan`s power ....and enlisting them in the Army of God......Hallelujah!!. In the early 1920`s, When Miss Gladwell was around 60 years of age, God again graciously sent another of His `fire-brand` preachers to Fraserburgh to do a work for Him which also, is yet fondly spoken of today, 90 years later. Jock Troup was moving in a great Revival at Yarmouth in England in 1921 when God spoke to him to and said, " Go to Fraserburgh!" Originally from the north-east of Scotland, a Cooper by trade and brought up in Wick in the very North of Scotland, Jock troup obeyed the Summons from Heaven, took a train and on his arrival in the town, began to preach `Christ Crucified` at the market-place. JOCK TROUP (1896-1954)He was seen by several Elders of the Fraserburgh Baptist Church who had just left a prayer-meeting where the people had cried out in prayer..."O God...send Jock Troup to Fraserburgh!" ....."Before they call I will answer" it is Written... and he had, Hallelujah!! Jock Troup was immediately invited to the Baptist Church where a great Revival broke out, immediately on preaching the Gospel. The Baptist Church became so packed out that they had to move the `Revival` to the Congregational Church (now the United Reformed Church) in Mid Street. That too became so full of `seeking-souls` surrendering their lives to Jesus that they again moved, this time to Old Zion, the Old Parish Church of Scotland in the Town Square. Revival broke out up and down the coast, town after town, village after village, men and women, boys and girls, fishers and farmers, traders and hawkers, the well-off and poor, were all experiencing the revival fires of God. Pubs closed, Fishing boats were left tied up in port, Men wanted God more than anything. Their souls were hungry for manna from heaven, and they were not disappointed, for God met every needy soul! In the early 1960`s, the evangelistic Cameron Family from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, came into a such a `glorious move of the Holy Spirit` that their church was totally revolutionised.` The Family background was in the Apostolic Church (trinitarian) and on a visit to England came into contact with Henri and Connie Staples of Newark, England who were the Pioneers of a `new move of the Holy Spirit` and when the Cameron Family came into the `liberty of the Holy Ghost` at Henri`s Meetings their worship services in their home church took on a hue that was hitherto unknown in Scotland or indeed most of the United Kingdom. Long before it was an acceptable and usual thing to `dance unto the Lord` in church services in the mainline pentecostal Assemblies, ie Assemblies of God, Elim Pentecostal, Apostolic Church, or in the Baptist and Charismatic churches , the Cameron Family became the `frontrunners` and pioneers in such liberty of Praise. But the hallmark of the `move` was not dancing but `an outpouring of Divine Love for all` that led them to such an intensity in evangelism. .... The Cameron Family and their Adherents became known locally as the `Love Family` because of their deep and abiding love for one another and for the `Lost` and indeed for all their opposers, of whom they had many, especially in the mainline pentecostal churches who vehemently opposed their `extreme and unbiblical mode of worship` as it was put. Nevertheless in their `Street Meetings` crowds of up to 3.000-4.000 gathered every week to `watch them praise the Lord openly and unashamedly with exceeding joy`, and it was a `usual` happening that `drunkards` coming out of the pubs and saloons found themselves on their knees in the street, `weeping before God and being soundly converted` because of the `tangible Presence of Jesus`, unfortunately this angered the mainline pentecostals as they counted themselves fortunate to muster half a dozen listeners to their Street Services. The Love Family believed absolutely that the Glory of the Lord had come down upon them and so they called their gatherings together `Glory Meetings`. It was a usual thing for their praise and worship services to last for many, many hours. Roy Turner, a newspaper journalist, joined the Glory People in England in the 1960`s, and became, as it were, another David the Psalmist, as the Holy Spirit gave him literally hundreds if not thousands of `new songs` to sing. One of the most famous, now sung in every church across the world is the much-loved, `All Over the World The Spirit Is Moving.` Indeed, when Pope John Paul 2 came to England in the late 1970`s, he said openly that his favourite hymn was this very `All over the world`, - which shows the effect that the `Glory Move` has had even on Roman Catholics and their Pope. Roy Turner And Members Of The Cameron Family Who Spear-Headed A Wonderful Move Of The Holy-Spirit From The 1960`s The preaching of the Word was a very important part of their services and they were blessed with `anointed preachers` coming to their Meetings and Conventions from all over the U.K., Europe and the USA. In their `house-meetings` their love of Bible-Study was amply seen as the Bible was continuously referred to and read. THE BRINGING OF THE APOSTOLIC/ PENTECOSTAL MESSAGE TO THE BRITISH ISLES BY THE EARLY APOSTLES

IN ST. MATTHEWS GOSPEL CHAPTER 28, YAHUSHUA TELLS HIS TALMIDIM,

"ALL POWER IS GIVEN UNTO ME, IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH, GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS..."

AND AGAIN IN THE BOOK OF ACTS CHAPTER 1, HE SAYS

".......YE SHALL BE WITNESSES UNTO ME, BOTH IN YAHRUSHALAYIM, AND IN ALL YAHUDAH, AND IN SHOMRON, AND UNTO THE UTTERMOST PART OF THE EARTH (THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE OLAM)."

The early Talmidim (Disciples) therefore, after receiving the Commissioning Anointing for Service at the Feast of Shavuot, whilst they all were gathered together at the Har Ha Beit (Temple-Mount House) on Mt. Moriah at Yahrushalayim, were sent forth by the Ruach HaKodesh to fulfil that which they were commanded to do by Yahushua, immediately prior to His ascension, and so, amazingly, before even 5 years had passed since those momentous days at Yarushalayim of 33AD, the Good News had found it`s way throughout all Europe and on into our Island Home here in `Ultima Thule`, the `Brittanic Isles`.

Ancient British records joyously tell us that even before 37AD had been reached, the Besorah (Gospel) of Yahushua HaMoshiach with it`s supernatural signs, wonders and miracles had been preached throughout the Ancient Island of Britain and that those early Britons and especially Celtic Druidary had astonishingly fully embraced the Message of Salvation through the Blood of the Lamb in a very few short years.......

Thus dispelling the Theory that the Gospel News was first brought to Britain in 596 AD when Pope Gregory the Great (590-604) sent the Romish Archbishop `St.` Augustine to England to `convert` the so-called `pagan` Britons to the Christian Faith.

And the truth is that the so called `paganism` Rome was trying to destroy was not a Celtic-Druid blood-thirsty religion but the True, Pure, Christian Faith with it`s abundance of miracles and healings which was received first-hand from the Apostles of our Mar Yah, Yahushua HaMoshiach, and which was deeply, deeply, `jewish` in it`s entire content, for it came from the very Torah-Observant Rabbi Paul who was the grandson of the most-revered Rabbi Hillel of Jewish history and this same Rabbi Paul (who sat under the ministry of Rabbi Gamaliel), whom we read of in Holy Writ and who as we shall see travelled westwards with The Message received it first-hand from the even-more Torah-Observant Moshiach of the Jews, on the Damascus Road, for He, Yahushua, of course was the Living Torah sent down from Heaven, (St John 1 vs 1);

And it is an undisputed fact of History both secular and Romish that this Romish religion hated the Jewish Faith and all things jewish so vehemently that as she marched in her ventures of conquest across the nations she would utterly and ruthlessly crush any true `Torah-Christians` who followed jewish customs, passovers and sabbaths, in every century, during her first 1500 years.

Her own written Historic Oracles at Rome declares it so.

I SAY THAT THAT IS AN UNDENIABLE FACT OF HISTORY!!

It is also an undeniable fact of our ancient British historical records, both secular and religious, that the True Christian Gospel of Salvation through Faith Alone, and trust in `Sola Scripture` and of a Gospel bringing Miracles, Healings, Supernatural Signs and Charismatic Gifts of Tongues and Prophecies was well-embedded in the Whole of these British Isles more than 5 Centuries before the Advent of the Romish religion in 596AD, and it is also a historical fact that the True Christian Gospel superseded the Old Celtic-Druid Faith between 37AD-190 AD., many long centuries before the Romish religion ever set foot on our blessed and ancient Island, and this `superseding` was not to replace, set aside or disregard something inferior but rather to build upon and amplify the previously Celtic/Druidic Faith..

Let us then in this short non-intensive study trace the footsteps of the early Apostles as they wound their way across Europe in their search for the `Lost Sheep of the House of Israel`.

And as we travel with them, first through Scripture, then through ancient British historical records, let us note that they went out exactly according to the blue-print Yahushua gave them in Acts 1 and verse 8.

It is also enlightening to know that the Early Apostles wherever they went across the ancient continents had one purpose in mind, and that was to first meet up with Jews and Israelites in diaspora and share the awesome, long awaited news that Yahuweh had, at long last, fulfilled the prophecy of Rav Moshe and sent Moshiach for the redemption and regathering of His scattered Flock.

Wherever they went in their long journeys they were always, but always found in the Synagogues and market places seeking out the Lost Sheep of the Diaspora and spreading the Good News.

Here then, let us trace their steps as they fulfil this Commission of going to...

BLESSED WITH GRACE

As has been mentioned earlier in this study, Scotland has, down through 20 Centuries, been blessed, almost beyond measure, with the ministries of multitudes of choice servants of Elohim, called to minister His Word of Grace, some for a season, some for a lifetime. Tertullian, a Law Advocate, writing in 190 AD said that the areas of Britain which had not been conquered by the Roman Empire (Northern Scotland) had embraced the `religion of Jesus of Nazareth.` The ancient English historian Bede wrote 1400 years ago that the `Christian Celts` of Northern Britain, ie, Scotland, "have been celebrating the Jewish Passover on the 14th. Day of Nisan for 600 years," ie, since 42 AD.

Every area and corner of Scotland has it`s historic tales of Heaven-Sent Revivals and Aberdeenshire in the North-East corner has it`s multitudious records. This area of Aberdeenshire, known locally as `Buchan` seems certainly to have been blessed above measure with men and women who have either come here to preach the Grace of Yahweh or sent it`s own sons and daughters to near and far-flung corners of the globe with Love`s Redeeming Message.

From the records of early British historians we are told of the coming of 1st. Century evangelists from Ancient Yisrael, then records of our own `home-grown` sons in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Centuries adorn our history. Preachers ablaze with that Message burning in their souls traversing the hills and glens of ancient Scotia and even crossing the wild North Sea (once known as the Germanic Sea) into Europe in centuries now long gone. As already mentioned, St Patrick, that world-known evangelist, who was born in the west of Scotland, carried captive to Ireland as a youth and returned to Scotland as a fervent, pentecostal preacher in the 5th Century, inspired others such as Columba and Drostan to carry his evangelistic Torch throughout the Land. How blessed have we been to have such dedictated saints of Elohim.

St. Columba who founded a teaching-monastery (Yeshiva) on the Island of Iona (Hebrew for `dove`) on the west-coast of Scotland had given up his right to the Throne of Ireland to be an Evangelist to Scotland. He and his companion preacher, St Drostan inspired by St. Patrick, landed at New Aberdour shores and went through-out the whole of the east-coast of Scotland founding bible-believing assemblies. St. Drostan himself, that great saint laboured many long years in Buchan and was laid to rest in the old grave-yard of New Aberdour, down near to the shoreline where he first landed on his mission, but there has, astonishingly, been a true Gospel-Faith burning in this north-east corner for far above 1600 years and the present day Church of Scotland in the locality is named `St. Drostan`s.`

Nevertheless, Satan has not been idle in trying to hinder and stop this Divine Work of Grace, for our ancient records declare that from the time of St Columba in the late 6th century, those disciples of his, in every following generation until the 12th. century, were under relentless pressure from the Romish religion to reject their First Love in favour of a hybrid Romish cult. Their refusal to submit is writ large in the annals of history, yet nevertheless the Romish Cult held power over most of Europe and parts of Scot-land for 1.000 years.

Four hundred years ago, Satan again tried to extinguish the holy Fire that burned in the hearts of Scottish saints, but godly men and women covenanted with Yahweh and with one another to live and die for the Truth once delivered to the Saints. Great persecutions arose and the hills and glens of Scotland ran deep and red with the blood of the martyred sons of Scotland. Who has not heard of those Covenanters of Scotland, Peden, Guthrie, MacKail, Cameron, the 2 Margarets, Renwick, Gordon, Cargill and Hill to name but a very few?

ALEXANDER (SANDY) PEDEN, SCOTTISH COVENANTER AND MARTYR (1626-1686)

Multitudes of Yahweh`s dearest and choicest saints, old and young, male and female, suffering tortures of burnings, hands chopped off, tongues ripped out, babies cut out of the womb, unimaginable wickedness perpetrated against their persons, drownings and beheadings for simply loving and adoring Yahushua rather than serving and bowing to a Pope. But Yah`weh be praised, .....The Fire could not be extinguished...The Faith Prevailed and yet does.

The Faith of Yah`shua has long been established in Buchan and as mentioned, every village and town has it`s wondrous tales of Revival. Fraserburgh`s oldest parish church in the town centre and known fondly, as `Old Zion` has been established on her present site since 1571, and has seen much of the blessings of Elohim down through the centuries, and, before being built, there had been a company of the Faithful from time immemorial in that community; Indeed, the town itself was formerly called `Faithlie`.

Mary M Slessor, that well-known Scot`s missionary to the former Nigerian Capital of Old Calabar, was born in Aberdeenshire, and inspired by Missionaries before her, undertook training at Edinburgh with the former United Presbyterian Church of Scotland, and on the 5th. of August 1876 after completing training, sailed forth from Liverpool with a message of love burning in her bosom that changed the lives of tens of thousands of Africa`s beloved children by the time she was called Home to Glory in 1915.

The great American evangelist, Dr. D.L. Moody came to Aberdeenshire in the last half of the 19th. Century, during his wide-spread preaching tours of the United Kingdom and it is recorded that a great spiritual revival and awakening took place with untold hundreds of precious souls being won for the Kingdom of God. Farming communities as well as the fisher-folk were touched and inspired by his fervour and zeal as he carried the Message of Redemption to all he met. The Torch he carried lit the torches of many Buchan`s sons to go forth themselves with Salvation`s Message.

Dwight Lyman Moody, Evangelist

(1837-1899)

Hardly 30 years after Dr. D.L. Moody`s visit to Aberdeenshire, God spoke to another of his choice servants to come to Fraserburgh and do a work for him among the fisher-folk and in the surrounding districts. And so it was that Miss Gladwell of Guildford in Surrey, South-East England was `moved` to come to Fraserburgh. Born in 1862, and baptised by that great Prince of Preachers, the Baptist minister of London, Rev. Charles Haddon Spurgeon, she began a work that continued until her death in 1937.

For almost 50 years, since she was around 25 years of age, Miss Gladwell ministered the Words of Life and Grace in Fraserburgh, throughout Aberdeenshire and in the counties beyond. Fisher-folk, the farming communities, the well-off and the poor, Miss Gladwell was known and loved by them all. She was joined in her Godly Labours by a companion in the Gospel, Miss Leech and together with a band of other faithful men and women, they ministered the Grace of God right up to just before the outbreak of the 2nd. World War. There are many in the community, yet alive, who knew and sat under her ministry, and still fondly speak of her today, over 70 years after her Home-Call.

Miss Gladwell now lies at rest in Fraserburgh`s Kirkton Cemetery, awaiting the Great Resurrection Morning that is soon to dawn.

On Sunday, March 23rd. 1879, General William Booth of the Salvation Army, declared...."The Salvation Army has crossed the border from England into Scotland" and with the great cry, "God Save Scotland" ....their began a tremendous Work of God in this Nation which has never yet been extinguished. A few years later the `Army` marched into Fraserburgh and fired their first Volley upon the Kingdom of Darkness in that Community, snatching multitudes from Satan`s power ....and enlisting them in the Army of God......Hallelujah!!.

In the early 1920`s, When Miss Gladwell was around 60 years of age, God again graciously sent another of His `fire-brand` preachers to Fraserburgh to do a work for Him which also, is yet fondly spoken of today, 90 years later.

Jock Troup was moving in a great Revival at Yarmouth in England in 1921 when God spoke to him to and said, " Go to Fraserburgh!"

Originally from the north-east of Scotland, a Cooper by trade and brought up in Wick in the very North of Scotland, Jock troup obeyed the Summons from Heaven, took a train and on his arrival in the town, began to preach `Christ Crucified` at the market-place.

JOCK TROUP (1896-1954)

He was seen by several Elders of the Fraserburgh Baptist Church who had just left a prayer-meeting where the people had cried out in prayer..."O God...send Jock Troup to Fraserburgh!" ....."Before they call I will answer" it is Written... and he had, Hallelujah!!

Jock Troup was immediately invited to the Baptist Church where a great Revival broke out, immediately on preaching the Gospel. The Baptist Church became so packed out that they had to move the `Revival` to the Congregational Church (now the United Reformed Church) in Mid Street. That too became so full of `seeking-souls` surrendering their lives to Jesus that they again moved, this time to Old Zion, the Old Parish Church of Scotland in the Town Square.

Revival broke out up and down the coast, town after town, village after village, men and women, boys and girls, fishers and farmers, traders and hawkers, the well-off and poor, were all experiencing the revival fires of God. Pubs closed, Fishing boats were left tied up in port, Men wanted God more than anything. Their souls were hungry for manna from heaven, and they were not disappointed, for God met every needy soul!

In the early 1960`s, the evangelistic Cameron Family from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, came into a such a `glorious move of the Holy Spirit` that their church was totally revolutionised.` The Family background was in the Apostolic Church (trinitarian) and on a visit to England came into contact with Henri and Connie Staples of Newark, England who were the Pioneers of a `new move of the Holy Spirit` and when the Cameron Family came into the `liberty of the Holy Ghost` at Henri`s Meetings their worship services in their home church took on a hue that was hitherto unknown in Scotland or indeed most of the United Kingdom.

Long before it was an acceptable and usual thing to `dance unto the Lord` in church services in the mainline pentecostal Assemblies, ie Assemblies of God, Elim Pentecostal, Apostolic Church, or in the Baptist and Charismatic churches , the Cameron Family became the `frontrunners` and pioneers in such liberty of Praise. But the hallmark of the `move` was not dancing but `an outpouring of Divine Love for all` that led them to such an intensity in evangelism. .... The Cameron Family and their Adherents became known locally as the `Love Family` because of their deep and abiding love for one another and for the `Lost` and indeed for all their opposers, of whom they had many, especially in the mainline pentecostal churches who vehemently opposed their `extreme and unbiblical mode of worship` as it was put.

Nevertheless in their `Street Meetings` crowds of up to 3.000-4.000 gathered every week to `watch them praise the Lord openly and unashamedly with exceeding joy`, and it was a `usual` happening that `drunkards` coming out of the pubs and saloons found themselves on their knees in the street, `weeping before God and being soundly converted` because of the `tangible Presence of Jesus`, unfortunately this angered the mainline pentecostals as they counted themselves fortunate to muster half a dozen listeners to their Street Services.

The Love Family believed absolutely that the Glory of the Lord had come down upon them and so they called their gatherings together `Glory Meetings`. It was a usual thing for their praise and worship services to last for many, many hours.

Roy Turner, a newspaper journalist, joined the Glory People in England in the 1960`s, and became, as it were, another David the Psalmist, as the Holy Spirit gave him literally hundreds if not thousands of `new songs` to sing. One of the most famous, now sung in every church across the world is the much-loved, `All Over the World The Spirit Is Moving.` Indeed, when Pope John Paul 2 came to England in the late 1970`s, he said openly that his favourite hymn was this very `All over the world`, - which shows the effect that the `Glory Move` has had even on Roman Catholics and their Pope.

The preaching of the Word was a very important part of their services and they were blessed with `anointed preachers` coming to their Meetings and Conventions from all over the U.K., Europe and the USA. In their `house-meetings` their love of Bible-Study was amply seen as the Bible was continuously referred to and read. The `Glory Revival` lasted for over 25 years unabated and during that period the Church `Zion Tabernacle` of Peterhead, sent out many Evangelistic Teams to minister `Jesus` to all parts of the UK, Europe, the USA and other nations. One of the leading family members founded a Bible College in Aberdeenshire and others pioneered `Pentecostal Churches and Glory Meetings` in the UK and the USA.

An Orphanage is run by another member of the Cameron Family, Pastor Michael Cameron Jnr. Quezon City, The Philippines http://facebook.com/pastormichael.cameronjnr and other family members are even now, deeply involved in `rescue` missions` in former communist countries of Eastern- Europe making the hardships of life easier for these former `slaves of communism`.

Indeed, the work that began 50 years ago among the `Glory People` still continues among their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Aberdeenshire not only in Zion Tabernacle, but also now in local mainline Pentecostal churches and across the Globe.

It is nigh-impossible to write a record of every God-sent, Holy-Ghost Revival that has graced the lives of the Buchan Folk, for, generation after generation have without doubt, experienced in a measure, some great, some small, but all meaningful and eternal, the Redeeming Work of the Holy Ghost. Every generation of Preachers, especially in Buchan, have inspired a new `move` of God...Brethren Assemblies of different shades, Holiness Assemblies, Apostolic Churches, Pentecostal Assemblies, Independant Churches and Glory Meetings, Assemblies where only men were permitted to preach, Assemblies were women were the usual preachers, Buchan has been blessed with them all.

And now, in the early 21st Century, Buchan has yet many witnesses to the Grace of God; Indeed many local Assemblies of different Denominations have even now, young men and women, called from North-East towns, villages and secluded rural areas, out in far-flung parts of the Globe, as well as throughout Britain and Europe, ministering the Word of Life, just as their forefathers have done.

It is a very peculiar thing, that the God of Heaven continues, without hesitation to do, that is, inspire, raise up, anoint and send forth innumerable sons and daughters of Buchan to bring home His `Lost Sheep to the Fold.`

The seed (St Drostan) that was planted in ancient `Aberdour soil` continues to blossom forth with like seed bringing `New Life`.

God grant, that that Scarlet Cord of Redemption that has been seen in every generation in the North-East of Scotland from time immemorial, continues to be thrown from loving hands to many a lost and dying soul.

Indeed, one of Roy Turner`s songs born during the `Glory Revival` in the 1960`s was,

So let us live like those who`ve gone before,
